Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Bonafide Crew collects, why, who helps us handle it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we use information only to run the app, we never sell it, and we do not show ads.
Who this is about
- Business owners and their team, who have accounts.
- Partners and clients of those businesses, who use the business's public pages without an account (for example to send a referral, join as a partner, or leave a testimonial).
- Visitors to bonafidecrew.com.
When a partner or client gives information to a business through Bonafide Crew, that business decides how it is used. We hold it on the business's behalf. Questions about it can go to the business directly, or to us.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored scrambled, never readable), business name, logo and brand color.
- What businesses add: partners, referrals, testimonials, project photos and notes. This can include names, phone numbers, emails and photos of people.
- What partners and clients type into a business's pages: name, contact details, their words, and photos they choose to upload.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We see your plan and the last 4 digits of your card, never the full number.
- Basic technical information: like the visitor's internet address, kept briefly to stop spam and abuse (for example, limiting how often a form can be sent).
What we use it for
- To run the app and show each business its own information and public pages.
- To send emails the app needs (sign-in, account and billing messages, tips for getting started). You can turn off tips anytime.
- To keep the app safe, stop spam and fix problems.
We do not sell or rent anyone's information, we do not use it for advertising, and one business can never see another business's information.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted companies to run Bonafide Crew. They only handle information to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare: hosts the website and app and protects them from attacks.
- Supabase: stores the database, logins and photos.
- Stripe: handles payments.
- Resend: sends the app's emails.
Their servers may be in the United States or other countries. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies
The app stores a small sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep a business's information while its plan is active. If a plan is canceled or ends, we keep everything for 90 days, so the business can come back and pick up exactly where it left off. We email the account owner before that time runs out. After 90 days, we delete the business's information. If an owner asks us to delete their account sooner, we do it within 30 days. Backup copies are deleted on their normal schedule after that. A business can delete a partner, referral, testimonial or photo at any time, and a deleted photo is removed from storage.
Your choices
Anyone can ask us to see, correct or delete information about them, by writing to support@bonafidecrew.com. If the information belongs to a business's account, we may pass your request to that business. We answer within 30 days.
Keeping it safe
Information travels encrypted. Each business's information is kept apart by rules in the database itself, photos of jobs and testimonials are stored privately, and only a few people can reach the systems behind the app.
Children
Bonafide Crew is a tool for businesses and is not meant for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and email account owners.
